Designer Michel Vrana just launched his new website. With great appreciation for the work he has produced over the years I thought it would be nice to show a series of covers he did for Gibbs Smith publishing house.

What I like about this series is their very well executed silkscreen look as well as the beautiful assortment and playful use of type. If a book cover is meant to function as a mini poster—well then, these do the job. The covers are full of subtle wit but very tangible and perfectly suited for the topic.
